Hey all - did you see the Thermomix app under the article "Our Top 25 Food Apps" in the Good Living section of Tuesday's Sydney Morning Herald?  Robotgourmet got a little mention too, yay!

I have a handful of converted recipes I have placed on here that I am more than happy for you to use so others can benefit from converted recipes for their TM. I have stated where the original recipe has come from where I can.

Keep up the good work

Thanks Dede - I will look out for them.

Cheers,
Monica.

Hi all - sorry it has taken me a while to get back on here - I was away for the holidays! Wishing you all the best for the New year.

Now to answer the above queries:

1) As for the salmon mousse - the amount of salmon is 200gm smoked salmon. This has now been corrected on the current version - thanks for pointing it out.

2) Chookwoman - apologies if an original recipe has been published without acknowledgement. Many of the recipes we have been publishing in the updates have been sent in by readers/users and gleaned from the www.  Where it is obviously an original recipe (from a blog etc), then we try to attribute to the original writer, the problem is often identifying "original recipes" in an age where there are literally millions of versions of things. And in many cases we have applied the "10%" rule - that is, if we have altered the recipe after trialling it, then it is no longer the original. We have indeed contacted bloggers and gained their permission to publish with attribution - several of quirkyjo's and brazen's recipes are on there. And other bloggers have asked their content not be published - fair enough too. If you could kindly send me the original link to the recipe, I will happily attribute it (with a link) or if you prefer we will remove it.

3) Ipad vs iPhone version - if you are happy with the way the iphone version presents on your ipad then there is no need to buy the other version. The ipad version is simply a larger format so that it appears better on the ipad screen.

Thanks to all of you for your feedback and questions. A while ago I said that we had only developed this app because of our own passion for the TMX and cooking so, while we acknowledge it may not be as slick as a "professional" app, we are committed to making it better all the time, with more recipes, corrections and updates happening about every month.

And thanks to many of the comments received - we have also decided to include images in the next release so look out for that one! We are aiming to hit 1000 recipes this year so keep them coming in as well - if you have favourites you want included, let us know (and also let us know if it needs to be attributed to your fave blogger). :)

Hi all - just wanted to let you know that I have spent the past week or so editing the database and adding 50 new recipes so you will all see an updated version of in a couple of weeks (once it is approved by itunes). Thanks to all of you who pointed out errors/omissions.
We are also working on getting photos together for all of the recipes so if any of you are a dab hand with a camera - and would like to have your pics published - please send them through! This will take a while so this feature won't be released for a couple of months but we are taking all of the feedback onboard and working hard to constantly improve!

Hi Zan - we have discussed the option of users adding their own recipes but unfortunately it is a whole different kettle of fish and not really viable for this app. We are currently working on other suggestions which includes photos.

Faffa - the answer is yes, just takes a while as I have to try to "translate" some of the ingredients as well as the language.

Introduce Yourself / Hi - its Monica from Robogourmet
« on: June 05, 2011, 06:01:24 am »
Hi all - just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi!
I am relatively new to the TMX world - having seen it for the first time last November. I bought one for myself for Xmas and haven't looked back. I run a "preservative and additive free" home (well, to the best of my ability) and have two boys, a hubby, chooks and a gigantic dog.
I work full time, am actively involved in church and am just in the process of completing my TMX consultant's course.
Oh, and I am also content developer for the English version of the Robogourmet app for TMX. Wow, no wonder I feel so busy!
I am looking forward to chatting with you all. ;D

Chit Chat / Re: Ice cream maker vs TMX
« on: June 05, 2011, 05:47:19 am »
I too have a Cusinart ice cream maker and love it. I make the custard in the TMX and then cool in the fridge/freezer and pour into ice cream maker. As much as I love the TMX sorbet for its convenience - I do prefer it in the ice cream maker as it is not as icy. For a gorgeous, traditional lime sorbet I make the sugar syrup in the TMX, cool, then add to the ice cream maker with the lime juice. Sensational ......

Hi all - I am Monica from Robogourmet - thanks for the invitation to participate in this forum. I am a fairly recent addition to the TMX team (I bought mine last November and am just in the process of completing my consultant's course). Anyway, I want to thank you for the feedback on the app so far and cover off a couple of issues raised here;

1) The reason I have not participated to date is that I did not want to breach (or be perceived to breach) any commercial rules of the forum. As such, I was simply trying to be a "polite" member of the community. I do thank you for welcoming me ;)

2) We acknowledge that there are some errors in the app and we are very grateful for your feedback. This is one of the things I particularly love about TMX - that it has fostered such an amazing, knowledgeable and sharing community of people.
However, we have no intentiion of relying on this forum - or any of our other customers - to do our work for us. We are currently adjusting recipes to correct any issues that have arisen as well as writing new recipes and testing as many as we can. We have also received recipes from around the world for inclusion in the next version. This is a time consuming process but we are certainly committed to constantly improving and expanding the app. We aim to roll out 50 new recipes again at the end of this month and this will be an ongoing process.

My Italian partners and I all got involved in this app because we are passionate TMX owners and foodies - as I am sure most of you can relate. Sure, it is great if we can earn a few bucks out of it, but ultimately we wanted a tool that was valuable to us - and that spawned its public release.
Even if we didn't sell another one, I would keep adding to it so I had a compilation of all my favourite recipes. It is for this reason that we encourage people to contibute and share their love for food and TMX as well.
Thanks guys and I look forward to"chatting" with you more.
