Dinner tonight was based on this recipe. Thanks for posting the idea, Meagan. I used onion, pumpkin and zucchini with some tomato relish and a teaspoon of vege stock concentrate as I didn't have any fresh herbs. I served them as hamburgers on fresh made bread rolls using Isi's Very Normal Bread recipe with homemade oven fries on the side. Needless to say, DH was a very happy man tonight.

So funny this came up - we had it last night too!! And enough for lunch today - Yay!
SNAP Absolutely LOVE meals with enough leftover for lunch (as does DH, otherwise he doesn't take anything to work for lunch).

Made this last night - a big hit. Didn't see your tips Nay-Nay till after, but I like the idea of using an egg into the white sauce - will do it next time

Made these yesterday and really happy with the results thanks to all the people who had tried them and posted their comments. The only thing I did slightly differently was to keep them in the oven longer for some as I found that unless they were completely hard coming out of the oven, they didn't really harden up as they cooled. For some of the bigger ones I just left them in the oven and turned it off. After 15 or 20 more minutes they were perfect.
I just decorated some with sesame seeds, some with chia seeds, and some with dried rosemary. Great dipped in the french onion dip that JD posted!

That looks really good JD. I reckon I could almost convince DH to eat pork using this recipe (he does like san choy bau). A good way to use up leftover roast meat and I love the idea of wrapping it in filo too. Thanks for giving suggestions of how to use it.
It's on my list!

Yep, sorry about that - JD is right, add with the rice to allow the flavour to come out. I'll amend the recipe now. Glad you enjoyed it KerrynN.

Made these today, they are sooooooo good! DS1 wolfed 3 down for dinner without skipping a beat. Such a great recipe and thanks so much for posting it Denzelmum. (I didn't have any nuts on hand that I wanted to use in these so I just omitted them - still gooooood!!) You'll have to excuse them being wide and flat (I had a small pastry issue which I intend to resolve next time I make these, and there will definitely be a next time )

Thanks Chookie. It seems to be the thing to do! I do love doing it though (when I remember - I'm not as dedicated as many are).

Just thought I'd let you know that I rescued my first split batch of EDC mayo today by emptying the jug adding another egg yolk and slowly adding the curdled mess. All good now

Not sure if you're talking about Ferrero Raffaello's??? I haven't made them, but I have this recipe in my list to try... http://www.myfoodobsession.com/?p=1332It may help you...(she uses white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk for the centre in this version).
