Thanks Bedlam - good hint. I make the coconut yoghurt from Skinnymixers blog - I will try adding some of that.

I tried to the first day Cookie, but I was starving well before morning tea time. I am used to having a couple of eggs for breakfast, and the smoothie doesn't fill me up the same as the eggs do, or last as long.

Recipe Review: Tropical Endive Green Smoothie p74 Mini Series 2
I have been doing Alyce's 7 day smoothie challenge, with a different green smoothie every day. This one is my favourite so far. It is fresh tasting with a beautiful creamy texture. To make it easier in the morning, I chopped the pineapple and mango up the night before, and washed the endive leaves. If I was to do everything in the morning, it would take too long for me to get done and cleaned up before work. A delicious smoothie that even the kids have asked me to make again!

Followed Kimmys example and used this recipe to make plum and raspberry jam. I increased both the lemon juice and the jamsetta to 1 tablespoon, and ended up with a really lovely tasting jam (not too sweet) with just the right texture that I like.
Will be making this again for sure. Thanks again chookie for a super-versatile recipe!

Made a batch of this yesterday and followed the recipe exactly and it turned out beautifully and is delicious. Both my kids love chutney, and gave this one the thumbs up. It is an economical recipe, as it makes quite a large amount from not many plums. Will be making this again and again. Thanks Kimmy

This sauce is delicious! Made it exactly as per the recipe. At the end of the cooking time and after straining out the seeds and cloves, I thought it was a bit runny, and considered giving it an extra 10 mins on varoma with the MC out to thicken it up, but decided against it. It did thicken a bit on cooling, so I am glad that I didn't. DH liked the taste so much, he went ahead and made a second batch the next day while I was out at work Highly recommend this sauce! Thanks kimmyh.

Great marmalade CC. I love the labels too. It's a pity we all don't live close to each other. We could have our own farmers swap market. That would be fun.
I agree! There are so many wonderful cooks and gardeners on this forum we could do a roaring trade in swapping our produce, and it would be so much fun! I swapped some produce today for the first time through a local produce swap Facebook page. I traded beans, berries, cucumbers and lemon myrtle and kafir lime leaves for 6kg of gorgeous plums. The lady who came to swap ended up chatting with DH for ages about how he grows the raspberries, and she is coming back for more gardening tips and some raspberry canes from him.

Thanks Michelle. I will have to wait until DH is out of the house for a weekend until I can do a serious de-clutter though!

Made a loaf of Paleo Bread. Not vegan as it has 6 eggs (my eggs were from a backyard chook person). Wouldn't make a sandwich out of it but it tastes good. Next time I would leave out the salt.
Which recipe did you use mcmich?

I just scored 6kg of beautiful plums from a produce exchange, so am going to make some of this - maybe tonight? Can I ask a silly question though ……. do you use 1kg of plum flesh weighed without the seeds, and add the seeds in extra, or does the 1kg include the weight of the seeds?

I forgot to explain about the frozen zest: if you have frozen it in peeled strips, you will need to pulverise it in TMX to make it fine like grated zest before using. I usually use the frozen zest in making cakes and biscuits, or curd, where I blend the zest with the sugar beforehand, then go ahead with the rest of the recipe.

Thanks Kimmy! I have to do a big cook-up of things for a fundraising stall at school in first term. I think this sauce and your plum chutney will be the go for this year! Thanks for posting.
