Im wanting to try Stacelee's jam recipe but am curious to know what this jam sugar is as I havent seen it before? Can you use normal sugar or is this one specifically needed for jams?Do you think I could substitute the strawberries for Mulberries & it would still work out? ???

Cakes / Re: Guinness Chocolate Cake

Yummy, yummy & yummy is all we can say about this one esp with the cream cheese slavered thickly on the top of it.I saw this thread the other day and decided it will be my first venture into cake making with the Thermomix, plus I knew also it would win me kudo points with hubby too as he loves Guinness.Mine collapsed a bit in the middle but that just meant more cream cheese to fill it.We loved it and I want to try it again another day with the chocolate ganache. Now off to do a walk around the block as I feel I need to shift those few kilo's it has added to my waistline here. Thanks for the recipe CreamPuff63. :)

Chelsea,I made this for tea last night and we were impressed with it!One thing thats really standing out with us with Thermomix meals so far is the flavours that are coming out of it are unbelievable.I dont know how to explain it but they are so...fresh & alive!
We had this with an assortment of vegetables as well.
Thanks for a lovely recipe,Chelsea.
Hope this was how it was meant to look like too.

Wow Thermie007, that was quick, only posted it last night.  Looks just like mine did
Well I had a few zuc lying about & thought this was an ideal beginner soup for me to try,Im glad this time it looks like yours too, unlike my other.I wouldnt blitz this again though as I found it so much appealing with the bits of colour in it.

Hi Cathybenson79,Soz,couldnt get back to you earlier our other puter is misbehaving & we seem to be down to one now and its no fun having to share here.He said it was a little too sweet and a bit in the strong department with the coffee.I used Nescaff too.I think once he adjusts those amounts he may hit on a winner!Any tips you have will be most appreciative, thanks.

Nay-Nay, A BIG cheerio from me here.Yes,I realise we can do a lot of tweaking with recipes to get them to suit our taste buds.Think that will be one of the pleasures & fun of having this machine.Oh,and we love the hot chocolate here too.

Hi there everyone & how are you all?

I have only had my thermomix since Monday & Im slowly going about my way getting familar with it.Its been a little overwhelming for me to be honest. So far have made iced coffee but hubby will persevere with the recipe to get it to how he likes it,Im not too fond of the stuff myself.Have also made the sorbet, chocolate custard, vegetable concentrate & last night the mushroom risotto from the cookbook which I had added extra ingredients too.Must I say it was the best risotto I had ever made with thanks to Thermie007 as I have named him(hence my username here).

I see there are hordes of recipes here and I look forward to trying them out as I get a little more confident in using my machine here.Hubby is also looking forward to having a play with Thermie007 as well as he too likes to cook when he can.

Now off for a wander around the place here. :)
