I've got this book, but haven't made anything from it yet. Looks great though My question is, I've previously made Skinnymixers Butter Chicken which is lovely and a huge hit on social media, but I query whether the recipe in the book is the same. Does anyone know? I just thought that the spices didn't quite look the same.

I would like to see the Choice article too, because the cheapest machine they reviewed in last night's ACA piece was $800. I had a Mistral Ultimate Kitchen Machine before I got my TM5 to see if I liked thermie cooking first. RRP is about $460 and I got it at BigW on sale for $248, which seems to be a regular sale item. It "Looked" a lot like the Bellini they had last night, but it didn't have the flash pull out remote controller thingee, which is obviously new to Bellini too. Somewhere I read that all the cheaper models are basically past TM models, where the patent has expired and has been made into a new brand. I think my Mistral was basically a TM21 with a screen. Anyway, I liked it so much I bought a TM5 and gave the Mistral to my son. Interesting that some of the newer brands to enter the market are around the same price range as TM.

Hi Lachy, I like the sound of that! I've had my thermie for about 6 months now and find that planning meals makes me use it more often than being spontaneous. I work full time so by the time I get home the motivation has often left the building to think about what we're having for dinner. Some of my favourite sites are: * The Recipe Community * The Road to Loving my Thermomix ( www.trtlmt.com.au) * ThermoFun * Skinnymixers * Cooking with Tenina * Alyce Alexandra * http://thermomummalailahrose.blogspot.com.au/plus lots of Facebook pages from "The Thermomix List" via Thermomix Super Kitchen Machine website. Let us know if you create something Jenny

Hi Mep, Download the app for Taptalk on your iPad, its good. It automatically puts new messages you're following up under your "notifications" list. I find it very handy It took me awhile to find the "unread" button too

I did a bread making class recently and another hint was to put it on top of your video/foxtel box in the lounge - the warm air coming out of those is enough to make your bread rise too apparently.

Thanks for the codes. I have a c160 error. Apparently it takes HO up to 5 days after receiving notification of the fault to make contact with customer about pick up and then up to 14 working days to fix the machine!! What have other peoples experiences been? This is not the quick response I hoped for!!
No Charlieboy, I had mine back within a week. I guess it depends on where you live of course.

Kyton, I think it must be something to do with varoma temp for long periods of time that does it. I use the varoma quite a bit nowadays (didn't at the start). Later on, when I thought about my consultant's comment though, I did have the varoma on top, because I sterilised the jars for the jam while it was cooking. I may not have had it on for the tomato sauce, but I did have the steaming basket on to stop it spitting everywhere. I did have the error quite a few times before it had to go to service. Yesterday when I was using him, I had to go through the whole safety guide onscreen performance again before it would let me do anything. Hope that's not another error starting.

C160 is now quite a common error if you read all the social media posts. Mine did it quite a bit before I had to send it off to get serviced. Apparently it's a combination software and locking arms issue. Corned beef seems to be a killer for a lot of people. I cooked Pimped up honey bourbon corned beef at least 3 times and then made worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and pineapple jam. The jam killed it. My consultant told me that if you have the machine on varoma heat, you must have the varoma on top or it causes issues. Got my baby back yesterday and he has new arms. Worked fine last night.

Just finished Dust of the Land by J Fletcher. Really good Australian historical fiction about the Pilbara and the iron ore magnets.

Cookie, I have a friend who is very into High Tea, having tried most of them around Melbourne/Victoria, she recommends Sofi's at Sofitel, top end of Collins St. Apparently it's cheaper than the Windsor and very nice. Personally I've never been to High Tea so I don't know, but here's an article I found that may help us decide which one to do: http://www.au.timeout.com/melbourne/restaurants/features/2895/melbournes-best-high-teasAnother option is to check out the discount coupon sites, scoopons, buyii, etc as they often have coupons for high tea if people want to save a few $$$. Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to FF. Just FYI its only CBD trams that are free. Here's a link to show the map: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/1-january-2015-fare-changes/You will still need a Myki card to use trains, trams and buses outside of this area. Chookie, I would love to go on the waitlist for the AA cooking class. Has it been decided already what the agenda will be for FF other than the date and cooking class? I live in Werribee but I work in the city so I know my way around the CBD pretty well. JudyDawn, I've put colleagues and clients up at most of the hotels I mentioned. In particular at Flagstaff Radisson recently and both the Oaks on Collins and Oaks on Market, which have good conference facilities if needed too. Gertbysea - definitely bring the sunshine with you Thanks for having me guys, really looking forward to it. Jenny
