Made butter cake using traditional method just now. My butter caused the creaming process to take longer than usual, despite using my KitchenAid. Then eggs didn't combine into a fluffy batter even though they've sat in room temperature for hours. Net result took me 45 mins to get my batter ready.
Next I made Nigella choc chip muffins in the TM. 19 muffins within 25 mins, including time to grind sugar to caster sugar. That's why we eat less butter cake nowadays 😄 74
