I think the black line down the side of the page only occurs if there is a big photo on the page.

For example, in "what are you cooking today" on page 1803 there are 2 really big photos and the black line is on the side of the page.  On pages 1802 and 1804 there are no big photos, so no black line.

Another example is the last page of the thread "backyard vegie gardeners", there is a big photo here and also a black line.  In the new thread I posted "overnight sour dough", I posted some photos using Tapatalk and these photos look big.  There is a black line on the side here as well.

I think the big photos (maybe all posted using Tapatalk), push the page over to the left and this makes the font smaller and the black line appears on the right hand side.

It looks the same to me on my iPad using Safari and my pc using both Internet Explorer or Chrome.

Thanks Katie.  Admin, perhaps you need to increase our allowed photo size then. It seems the size of photos plays a big part in these problems in certain threads.

Photos uploaded from the iPad are much smaller but I find when you click on them to make them larger, it takes quite a few seconds for that to happen.

I like photos that are big enough to see without clicking on them. I guess I like to be quick. It looks as though I may have to just make the font larger on my ipad.  Or even just revert back to the old forum.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've just popped on here to check things out and hey presto, new font. I like it. So far I can read it. Thank you.

I e just checked over the other parts of the forum. The print is still small in other sections ( possibly the photos as suggested, but I love photos) but it is much clearer to read. I don't need to enlarge the page.
Great. Thanks Mr Admin.

I usually use safari, not sure what app others are using.

Can you use other? Firefor or chrome for example, just to test if the problem is due to safari?

I just downloaded the Chrome app to compare, I think Safari is better as the text is larger.
Also, When in Chrome I couldn't see the test photo that CreamPuff posted today, but could see a good sized preview in Safari. I don't really find it a problem myself as I just zoom in when on my mobile devices.

Just an idea, for those with text size issues, if the 'conversation text' was the same size as the member name in the left column, it would be a really easy to read size. The conversation text should really be the easiest to see as I assume most people read the time and date information as secondary information (or not at all).

I feel the problem is the font itself . It is just too fine. There are thousands of fonts available so why not choose one simple one such as aerial black or similar.

I really hate the wishy washy colours in the theme chosen.  I find it boring and not dynamic enough for easy reading so that is why I don't post or come here nearly as often as I  used to. I miss it but I am on my I  pad due to convenience and I Can't be bothered to stretch the text so  can easily read it.

It is faster to go to FB to "talk" than it is to negotiate here. I absolutely loath the colour bars and particularly the one in POST REPLY /Topics Summary and others as it looks like baby poo. The ads are brighter!

Baby poo is an excellent colour description Gert. I must admit I often can't find the reply button because of colours.

Sorry Uni I was just testing & the picture was a panorama & the font didn't cope on the iPad made it really really small so removed.  So I think the size of the photos is having an impact on the size of the text.

I will send the photo separately.
