This is  in the oven now, so will just need to heat and serve later. I dont get home until 6pm on a Wednesday night after DS tennis so I like to have something prepared earlier.

I doubled the recipe to make sure there was heaps for the 3  of us.

I added some bacon and 1 cooked chopped chicken breast too.

I think it's going to be yummy.

Well I know I have made it unvegetarian but it is yummy.

I am just so impatient couldn't wait for dinner to test it, so dug a small corner out to try, then sneakily patched it so, no-one will  know. Well it's only us 3 anyway for dinner tonight.

JD you have one it again, a lovely tasty recipe :)

Thanks

I did too.
Cooked the bacon (roughly chopped) in with the onion (reverse)
Doubled the ingredients successfully (cooking pasta with same water amount), and once milk added, cooked for 10 minutes....All in reverse

Kids ate it....so it's a win  ;)

Thanks JD.  I made a double batch of this for dinner tonight and it was great.  2 of us had it as a main course and the others had it with some grilled chicken as a side, and I've got some left over for lunch. I loved the method of cooking the pastaand steaming at once . . . and of course you know I'm babysitting my mum's tmx at the moment, so I made the sauce in hers at the the same time too.  Having said that, you would have less washing up with only one tmx in play!

I took a photo on my mobile phone and will upload it, but it's a pretty awful pic--the parlsey stuck on the side of the dish looks like a piece of grass!

You're just too clever with your photos now Lellyj  :D  As long as it tasted good, that's the main thing.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Great idea Lelly - that gives me an idea for tomorrow's lunch to get rid of some cauli and the last of the ham. I might as well throw some peas in as well.

Made this last night for dinner with diced ham added as JD suggested in one of her other posts. Didn't worry about the quantities of cauliflower or pasta (was over but not quite doubled) and made a double mix of the sauce. Just sprinkled the diced ham over the pasta and cauli. Easy, quick, makes a substantial amount and was very tasty. Will definitely make again. A great recipe that can be adapted to use up all sorts of leftovers.

Me too. I remember when you could try almost every new recipe posted. Now we are so lucky and have heaps and heaps of lovely things to try. I used to have a list but it just got longer and longer so I gave up.
