I was searching for a quick roll or bread recipe to go with some soup tonight and came across these. Quick, easy and very good. Will use this recipe again. I'll post a picture if I remember how to use tapatalk.

Thanks Uni.

I agree DD. They are brilliant to whip up quickly when you need them.

Agree, these are very good. I was checking through some recipes and we have certainly moved on a lot in baking bread. With the cold pot method you can also bake a loaf in under an hour. The pipe loaf takes only 45 minutes started in a cold oven.
The baking time for rolls in the air Fryer is 15 minutes, plus proving time. For me this is another 15 minutes plus 4 for kneading. . So 5 or 6 rolls in 34 minutes.
I have a feeling that you can probably have hot rolls for breakfast in even less time using an electric oven and a cast iron pot. Probably 35 minutes. This is allowing for 20 minutes for the oven to heat up. If oven heats up more quickly then this will reduce the time.
Must play around and see what if I can reduce the time more but still get a good result.

I needed some rolls in a hurry the other day. I had forgotten how quick and tasty these were.

I agree with Chookie. I don’t think I’ve ever done this recipe but I should try it.

DH has requested another batch of these as they are quite crusty and he likes that.

Made these yesterday. Ral liked them but I found them a bit heavy. Certainly very crusty. Do like the coating.  Will try it on other bead.
Think Cookies Vienna Bread my most popular go to recipe.

These rolls are still my favourite! I flatten them in the oven by placing a tray over the top to make them hamburger rolls.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
