We have lots of silverbeets in the garden, too. I tried Potato and Silverbeet Soup

600 g chicken stock
400 g potatoes, peeled and chopped
250 g silverbeet chopped
50  g grated parmesan cheese

Bring stock to boil, with chopped up potatoes and silverbeet for about 10-15 minutes, then blitz it and serve with parmesan cheese.

Sometimes, I also try it with just water and salt, when I don't want chicken stock on it. Sometimes, instead of silverbeet, I use lettuce or celery.

I tried it but used half potato and half cauliflower, also added 1 tsp of Organic Herbamare for salt. Everyone at home loves it. We have it every fortnight or sometimes every week now that it's winter. Sometimes I add Parmesan cheese but sometimes I forget, either way we love it.

Thanks for this! We had a vegetarian visitor last week and I thought I'd look around here. I tried this one and I'm glad! My 8 year old who is very picky loved it and keeps asking for more so this will be a keeper. I used 1 tbsp dried basil and 1 tbsp dried oregano for the herbs. Didn't change anything else except that I froze the rolls before cutting them since I thought it was easier to cut them when frozen, just like I do with biscuits. Thanks a lot!

Yes, we've been trying to be healthy and not buy commercial biscuits anymore because of all the preservatives and stuff that make our little ones sick. Now I'm trying to find some good recipes to try online and this forum is really great!

Loved this so much that I had to make another batch today. Everyone at home loves it! First time I made this, I used almonds. Today I used macadamia. Thanks so much!   :)

Thanks for this. I didn't have chives but used parsley instead. My 3 year old loved it. He kept on coming back for more. I guess this will be a regular  in our home.  ;D

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hello from Victoria

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the welcome I'm getting. I'm from the southeastern part of Melbourne.

I must admit I don't come often to check replies to my post but I come here to get some recipes every now and again to go back to the recipes I like and to try new things.

I like to do simple cooking since my family recently got converted into organic food and also raw food because a few months back doctors couldn't fix my son's coughing and chest infection >:( . After some research (on Vitamin C - I'm a big fan now and I can tell you my new recipe on how not to get a cold or make it last just 1 or 2 days  ;D), I found the way to be healthy and now we are healthier. When TM came, I found out cooking can be healthier and a way lot easier and even tastier with no additives/preservatives! Yes, we used to cook with loads of poison - MSG and all that :D.

Another thing I love about TM is that temperature can be controlled with cooking. I discovered that with diabetics, you are not supposed to cook food over 120 since high heat kills the enzymes. TM answered that! I'm diabetic (only when pregnant) so I try to be careful with my diet.

My family love the dips esp. garlic and herb dip, the tuna spread, zucchini pesto, garlic prawn risotto, hot chocolate using organic raw cacao powder, asian dumpling soup, bimby chocolate cake (which I actually make using organic raw cacao powder with only 35% raw sugar and I make them into cup cakes since they cook quickly and kids love it when they are in those sizes.)

I don't cook with the TM everyday since we sometimes just eat raw but there are times when I would use it 2 to 4 times a day. It's really a big help in the kitchen.

Anyway, I already wrote much. Hope that makes up for my not responding.   ;D

Thanks again to TM and to all of you for your help!

We only had the TM for about a month but I have made this 3 times already. My 8 year old who is very fussy with food even requested me to make this for him so he can take to school for lunch. This will be a family favourite. Thanks a lot!

Thanks to this recipe. I use it almost every week now to make muffins for the family. We're a bit health conscious so I just use 130 grams of raw organic sugar and cacao powder instead of cocoa. I've also tried organic carob powder instead of cocoa and just use 100 grams sugar for it. My kids really love it!

Introduce Yourself / Hello from Victoria

Hi everyone! I joined in here a few weeks ago and have been waiting patiently to be admitted. I only got to check my spam box today and that's where I got the email from here. Lol! Anyway, I'm glad that we have this forum. I learned many things and have used a few recipes already. I never used to cook a lot (let's just say I'm spoiled) but with the thermomix, I've been trying a little bit more cooking and I really love the TM. Thanks to my hubby for letting me have one.  ;D
