We will all be together on the retreat and can have "family dinner".
As DD said know what you want and don't settle for less. Write down some qualities you want in you're future DH.
E.G. - honesty, work ethic, happy disposition, accepting of family, financial ideas, etc.

Never too young to set standards Amy.

Any young man will be privileged to know you.

A family dinner on the retreat would be lovely DFM :D

At this stage, I don't know what I do want, but I do know what I don't want ;)

The opposite of I don't want is what I want.

Right now all I can think is that I don't want to have a blood test tomorrow morning at 7:40am at the hospital :-X

Just reading through all the latest posts, we have a table with six chairs, but because there is seven of us one person has to sit at the bench on a bar stool. We all eat together at the table/bench and try to talk about our day. Sometime there is fighting, sometime laughing, sometimes growling to try and get the little ones to eat more, and sometimes just sensible talking. But we still eat together every night. ;D

I would love to have a family meal at the table!!! I get lonely in my room and I don't like TV :(

We always sit around the dinner table, except for Saturday night which is take away night and we 'spoil ourselves' and sit in front of the tv.

Amy my mum didn't have family meal times around the table, she had an extremely dysfunctional mother, so everything her upbringing lacked she made up for big time when she was a mum. One day you will have a family of your own and make meal times special  :-*

Yes, Droverjess, I agree.  I was brought up on a farm and we always had our meals sitting around a table, we had no TV.

Evening/Morning all

Hope the blood test goes well Amy.
