Marina, I’ll do a trial run of the vegan scones and let you know. Yesterday I made 12 bread rolls and 20 SD crumpets. Also a pot of soup from the lamb bones left over from the roast. Added soup mix and lots of veggies. A handful of parsley at the end just lifted the flavours.

Cookie, glad you tried them. They look yummy. I’m having an afternoon tea for a small group of Probus ladies. I’m making scones. 3 different types. Plain with jam and cream, pumpkin cheese with Australian bush spices and a third one I’ve just seen a recipe for a vegan recipe with Rosemary and blueberries. I’ll try these today.

Another good way to use the TMX. When preparing a meal I save all the veggie and fruit trimmings and at the end of the day, mash them up with a bit of water. I tip this on to one of the raised garden beds.

Mab, yes Naans do look good. Roast leg of lamb, mashed potato casserole. ( an old AWW favourite), zucchini and red capsicum stir fry and Portuguese Custard tarts, fruit salad.

Biscuits not so bad. I’ll get a friend to try them tomorrow and see what she thinks. Preparing chicken legs with raisins and almonds, for lunch tomorrow. A Guardian recipe. Smashed potatoes and zucchini and tomatoes. Belgium Lemon tart. Haven’t made this for a while. From my Blog.

Got home late so made a prawn and mayo sandwich. Had made some long bread rolls so used 1/2 with lettuce from garden. I find the large prawns better value than the small ones.
