Judy, that’s a good cook up. I use my home made SweetChilli sauce. The secret to bought Apricots for jam is to add no water. Just Apricots, sugar and lemon juice. There is a nice recipe for chicken with Apricot Jam. I’ve posted it somewhere. I’m another who loves chicken wings.

Cookie, that’s hard to deal with. Mab, I planted 2 different lots of Snow Peas. Both produced well. Beans not looking so good. Katie, I made the best Apricot jam and so simple, in the TMX. 1 k apricot halves, 700 g sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mince Apricots, add sugar and lemon juice. Cook 30 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 3.

Mab, what will you do with the Snow peas ? I’ve been picking a handful a day. I’m lucky to have a portable air filter. I’ve set it up in the bedroom. Still a lot of smoke around. Hairdresser today.

KAtie, Apricot Jam is the most popular of all the jams I make. The so called SD loaf in the small bread machine was not would be recognise as SD. However it made a lovely loaf. I used Rye starter . Made the suggested 9 slices. You turn the loaf on its side to slice.

After being house bound for 10 days, yesterday I went to the big shopping centre in Ballarat. I have only been there about 5 times and quite enjoyed it. I bought a couple of things I couldn’t buy anywhere else. I bought a cheap book on recipes for the sausage roll machine. It has recipes for using different types of casings. Filo, sandwich bread and wraps as well as puff pastry. It also has tips such as always starting with a cold machine and start timing from when the green light comes on.

Chookie I like to read rubbish books every now and then. Sometimes your brain just needs to be completely entertained.
Agree.

It’s lovely and cool here, after that dreadful heat. Might make some pumpkin soup with the chicken stock that I made yesterday. I’m making a small loaf of bread in my small bread machine, every day. I’m trying a different recipe each time. Perhaps a seed loaf with spices to have with pumpkin soup.

Marinated some chicken wings in a mixture of sweet chilli sauce and curry powder. Simple and tasty. 30 minutes in the Ninja BBQ. I lined it with paper liners that are made for AF baskets.

While I’ve been incapacitated I’ve been reading a book a day. Mostly rubbish. However I read, What Happened to Nina and The Glass Maker for Book club. Enjoyed both. I was impressed by both author’s different style of writing.

Marina, glad the power came on again. Many in Ballarat also lost power. I was ok. Cleaning out spice drawer, I found some KFC spice that I had made. . I had a chicken thigh defrosting so made a slurry of spice with flour and water and coated the thigh. I shallow fried the thigh. Ate with slaw for lunch .
