Today I have made Pumpkin seed coated lentil patties and converted my Sweet and Sour Chicken recipe to a thermomix recipe and it looks like it has turned out well, just boiling eggs for a salad now.  :)

Hi Gabby and welcome.  I have only had my thermomix for about a month and have great fun with it, this forum is great for ideas and help.  I am originally from the UK but have been in Australia since 1971.

Thanks, does that mean that I use the varoma temp and put the food in the varoma?  Sorry but I haven't used my varoma yet.

Tips and Tricks / re-heating food

Just a simple question I hope, what speed, temps etc do people use to reheat food in tmx.  I'm thinking of casserole type dishes that I have made and frozen. Thanks  :)

Main Dishes / Re: Agilio Oilio E Peperoncino (garlic oil and chilli) pasta

Tried this recipe last night and agree it is fantastic. I used the recipe from A taste of Vegetarian book.  Only DH and myself for tea so I halved all the ingredients but kept the water basically the same and kept the cooking times the same.  Used a nice white wine from Lindemans to put in the sauce and also to have with the pasta.  Beautiful  :) :) :)

Thanks for the reply, I have decided to make the cooked tomato conserve from EDC with 1 kilo of tomatoes and use the rest on the tomato sauce and pizza sauce so I will have a variety of sauce etc to use.  ;)

I have just cooked the Bolognaise sauce (ragu) and found no problem with the texture but it is a sauce.  I did find it  burnt a bit in the bowl and used bicarb to clean but maybe try spray and cook in the bowl before starting????

I have some ripe tomatoes and wanted a tomato puree/sauce recipe.  Has any one tried cooked tomato conserve from EDC and if so is it good one to use, any other thoughts?  thanks  Rainbow   :)

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi from WA
« on: February 04, 2010, 06:55:49 am »
Thank you for the warm welcome and Albany is a lovely place to live.  I have a few friends with tmx and everyone was so positive about it I just knew I would have to get one.  I keep spreading the word on how good it is.

I did make the butter today and I was very pleased with the outcome, added some salt and olive oil and used it at lunch time.
 :) :) :)

I tried this recipe on advice of my consultant and used 1 tbls baking powder and found it a great recipe.  I made it for my daughters birthday and used the ganache recipe to ice it.  I found the ganache was a bit thin and I used extra chocolate to make it thicker.  :)

HI
I have had my thermomix for 1 week now and really enjoying it.  I have made Isi's bread, lentil patties, dips and today hope to do butter and a main meal.  I live in Albany on the south coast of WA.  I am vegetarian but my husband and daughter are not so a mix of meals happens. :)
