This one and its companion chip are now available here in the USA. As a vegetarian, I was thinking of buying it. Has anyone here cooked from it?  ??? It's tempting me sorely.

We've received no reviews from this book at this stage MacGuffin, that's not to say no-one has tried anything though.  Maybe you'll receive some responses to your question.

MacGuffin, I have made The Mexican Stack from this book about 4 times.
It is absolutely beautiful, although if you like more spice, add some chilli powder. The filling can be made ahead of time and assembled closer to the time you want to cook it. It also reheats really well the next day if there's any left.

I just had a look at the index and some of those recipes look very interested ... I might well be tempted.

I received this and a copy of Cooking for 1 or 2 free from HQ yesterday.  I have been having trouble with the Cookiedoo site as for some reason they had me down as living in the UK.  Anyway, a lovely chap called Patrick finally fixed everything and to thank me for being patient sent me the books.  Haven't had a good look yet but I am sure there will be something in them we would like.

It certainly was. Do you use the Cookiedoo site much Trudy?

It certainly was nice! And Katj, that sounds like an endorsement to me.  :) I'm thinking I might as well go ahead and order it and the chip.

My plans are to go out to HO and check out the new Varoma book when I go home. I think I may check this one too as I try to eat more vegetarian meals now.

Cookie, I only got connected last week as it's taken months to be able to do this.  I have looked at the collections available.  There are two free ones and I did buy the Italian & French & Polish desert ones.  They were around $3 each.  I did this to work through the purchase just to see if there was anymore problems but there were things in there I will make.  I think the up and coming Cookkey sounds interesting but don't think it's due in Australia till later in the year.

Thanks Trudy. I've looked at it and wondered.
