I wonder when we will see the first reviews online and how fast they will disappear off of the shelf.....I probably shouldn't get one :)...I'm running out of names to call them....I currently have Tom (TM), Ken (Kenwood) and Tim (TC)....not to mention I'm running out of room on the bench...although...nah..a person can have too many toys

If you do not  think of it as a TMX mini me and consider it  an ordinary blender that cooks and steams then why ever not?

a little bit hard not to when they are clearly marketing THIS machine as exactly that...even using the name thermomix which has to break i dont know how many copyright laws... As far as the thermochef goes personally i hav no issues with it as it is always the way with any great appliance... Eventually when the patent runs out machnes flood the market however with the bellini being such am obvious takeoff i just think something like that should be shutdown.  If not then where will it end???

You are right about that Frozzie but there will always be people making a buck from other peoples hard work. We know the motor is nothing like  the reluctance motor in the TMX  so it most certainly won't last long with the workout it will be getting and eventually it will, get a bad reputation and be history.

If it ever shows up in the US they no doubt will sell a zillion just because it looks  so much the same.

Like I say interesting times ahead.

My Target "cattle dog" arrived this morning .just another snippet. The Bellini has 1000 watts of heating and just a 500 watt motor.

Just to compare the Breville BBL605 blender at around $228 has a 1200 watt motor. Don't know how the Bellini is  going to knead a kilo of dough for a few minutes.

If we gave the Bellini kitchen master a work out like we do the TM the motor probably would burn out. :)

This machine sounds scarier the more i hear of it... Will be interested to hear if anyone does buy it and how it goes as between the recipe book and the machine itself nothing seems to add up... Like gert says interesting times ahead but i do feel for the poor soul who throws their money away on this... Sorry cant help it... Really sounds like apiece of ?!!

I had to head down to Target today (desperately needed some black trousers to take away.....tell me why dressing room mirrors have to be SOOOOOOO cruel!).  My local target had NONE (the bellini's not the trousers :P) on the shelves so I assume that they must have walked out fast.  I did find the tag for them shoved at the back of the bottom shelf.....I noticed that it had "no rainchecks" on it so it will be interesting to see if they get any more in.

I went into Target yesterday to have a look. What a piece of junk. The silver cog thing on the bottom that you can see in Gertbysea's photo is made from a cast alloy looking substance. That got the alarm bells ringing loudly as it's the bottom of the blade assembly. Could we get spares if it broke??. The lid was quite flimsy, a bit flexible and was difficult to lock in place. (That may become easier as it was used more) I couldn't see a spatula or varoma so can't comment on them. The box says the bowl is stainless steel but not the grade. The bowl was fairly light but ok.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I contemplated this machine for the caravan but after seeing it, wouldn't touch it with the proverbial 10' pole. I'm back to looking for a second hand TM 21, TM31 (or buying a Thermochef)

I went around to my Target for a look but it is only a small store and there weren't any, It was early and not many people in the store so I don't think they sold out.

I went to Target at Kotara (Newcastle) and they only had the display model left.
I don't know how many they had to start with.

Our Target country don't stock them.
I really wanted to just have a look.

When I am in Cairns next, I look at target.

DH and I popped over to the nearest Target about 10 this morning. We couldn't find any so went and asked. We were told they had sold out. I replied 'that's ok I have my TMX.' The saleswomen replied 'oh they are exactly the same things.'
I do hope she hadn't persuaded anyone to buy using that statement. Gretchen as I didn't see one thanks for your photos.
