I’ve been making some strange jam mixes. The feed back has been amazing. Today I’ll try a different one. Quince and Red grapes. The Lemon, Carrot and Cardamon is quite nice , although my favourite at the moment is plain Mandarin Marmalade.

The young people loved the Beef in Stout. What an easy meal. Takes 1 1/2 hours to cook. Also made No Fuss Baguettes into garlic bread.
Made Brownies, served with Ice cream.
Tonight I’m having Salmon and fried rice. Steamed vegg.

Cookie, glad you are enjoying your little holiday.
Last night GS helped me understand my heating system. The house is zoned. I can now control the system easily.

Good SC time. I’ve been reading recipes where you put different ingredients into separate containers within the SC. Think I’ll try it this week. Chicken casserole mix in one container, rice in another and veggies in another. Could use oven bags sealed containers. I’ve got some SS containers that might work.

Oh hell Cookie. That’s a shame.
Cooked a Beef in Stout.  For the kids dinner tomorrow night. Only need peas and mashed potatoes.

Marina, it’s a Cookidoo recipe. DH will have to grow a gluten free starter. It shouldn’t be difficult as it’s based on buckwheat flour.

Marina, that’s a difficult one, but I think I saw a recipe on a TMX blog. I’ll see if I can trace it.

That’s a good career path especially if DD has computer skills.

Do you remember, SOS ? I made some white sauce from this powder mix and used it as a base for chicken and mushroom pot pies. Lovely.

I made an apple cake today and then broke I trying to turn it over. I’m sure it will taste nice.
Probably beautifully loaded with apples.
Have been given a small number of figs. Will make jam.
Yesterday I made some Anzacs with Macadamia nuts. They turned out massive. I used the wrong size ice cream scoop.

Pork Chow Mein from freezer. Will add more green beans and water chestnuts.
I’ve discovered that Wasabi leaves can replace watercress in soup. Warsabi loves Ballarat.
