Don't panic Dutch - it happens to all of us.   There are a number of solutions but either of these 2 work best for me

1.  Use bicarbonate of soda and rub it off with a sponge or soft cloth or brush - don't use anything too wirey as it will scour the bottom but if you use the bicarb neat with just a dab of water and a lot of elbow grease, it should shift it.

2.  Use half water and half vinegar, or even more vinegar, enough to cover the blades, and heat at 100, speed 2 for 5 minutes.

Hope one of these works for you.

I have done this several times,  don't panic.  I soak mine with water and a little detergent,  over night if possible. Then get a stiff brush and remove what you can.  (this next bit will sound strange)  I then use my fingernail to remove any burnt buts that still remain. Secondly you could add Carbsoda and bring to the boil and let stand until cold.  This often lift the burn off.  Good luck and persist.

I just use Gumption on a soft cloth and have used the old finger trick like Chookie too.

And if that doesn't work try milling up some rice or whizz up some egg shells in water - that should scrub it clean.  ;)

I always just start with heating water up to Varoma temp for about 5-10 mins then giving it a blitz.  If that doesn't get it off I go to the bicarb & elbow grease.  Never needed more than that (apart from the odd bit of attacking it with a finger nail!).

Good luck

I love gumption, use it all the time....I haven't burnt anything (yet) in the "Therminator"  but will remember that for when I do. ;D
