Cookie, isn’t it nice when that sort of thing happens!
DJ, lovely to hear from you. Must let you know that my email has changed. megantuffley@gmail.com.
Would love to hear from you again.
Marina, your exercise class sounds like fun! I just started seniors Zumba today and loved it. I also do seniors yoga.

So sorry to hear of your thieves Judy! I haven’t gone back too far in this thread, but Chookie, you had something stolen too? I’ve been really busy lately. We’ve moved to Albany, sold our farm. We’ve bought one in Albany and we’ll be settling a second one next door in a couple of days. Traveling back and forth shifting farm machinery and bits and pieces that have accumulated over 80 odd years!

Chookie, zucchini pizza sounds great! We have a surplus of them right now. What recipe do you use?

I’m at my DD’s place and made a lovely vegetarian pasta for tea. I’ll get the recipe organized as I made it up with what was in the fridge. Kids devoured it!

I’m planning to make these very soon! I forgot to bring my spelt flour to my DD’s, but may try a blend of lupin and wholemeal flour.

I’ve been sewing my own clothes lately. I haven’t bought anything for ages! So rewarding (and very frustrating at times)!

Choosier, the shampoo will be fine! As long as it still smells good, it's fine

I’ve been absent from the forum for a long time! Life has got in the way. I’m at my DD's making tomato and capsicum paste. we had the dreaded C161 error and used Thermofixed's solution of removing the back plate and tightening the arm screw. It appears to have worked! My son in law has had a cancerous tumor removed from his salivary gland, and is undergoing treatment in the city, four hours from their home. I’ve been coming and staying when I can, filling her freezer and pantry and helping with the children. It’s got me back in to using my Thermie again!
Update on C161 error. It’s just come up again once I went to blitz the paste.

I know this is an old post, but has anyone done this? My DD's TM5 keeps shutting down making tomato paste.

Our friends are interested in getting a Thermie after seeing mine in action. They live in Champion, Alberta. Calgary is probably the closest city Are there any consultants around there?

Just want to add to this post. I don't advise cooking on Varoma in the TM5. Mine started smoking!! I've looked at a few other recipes and cooking at 100 for around 10 minutes is plenty. You only need to dissolve sugar and bring to the boil.
Cooling to 37 is the key. I've popped my whole bowl in the fridge to cool.

So you use potato instead of pasta, cookie? I wonder how it would go with pasta shells.

I'm the same, JD. Quirky's ingredients are also daunting. I've bought so many different ingredients over the last couple of years, I'm actually going to clean out my pantry and get rid of heaps of them. Wasteful, I know. But, I just don't make those sorts of dishes anymore.
