Mother’s Day Celebration today as DD on call tomorrow. I’ll prepare meal throughout the day. Friend thought the biscuits ok. She also mentioned that she has just bought a crumpet loaf to try. I thought I might try to make a SD one next week.

A crumpet loaf sounds most unusual.
I made some Pizza shape type biscuits today and some that are like Brownies.

I've been steaming a mix of various vegetables and mashing them then freezing them in single serves.

I made some Cinnamon Scrolls from Cookidoo. They are Nic Moretti’s recipe. They used the Tang Zon (?????) method. They are so soft and delicious.

Cookie, glad you tried them. They look yummy.
I’m having an afternoon tea for a small group of Probus ladies. I’m making scones. 3 different types. Plain with jam and cream, pumpkin cheese with Australian bush spices and a third one ??? I’ve just seen a recipe for a vegan recipe with Rosemary and blueberries. I’ll try these today.

Lucky Probus ladies!  I would love to hear how the vegan scones turned out.

I made a Classic Loaf today and a Wholemeal SD loaf that uses all Wholemeal flour.

Marina, I’ll do a trial run of the vegan scones and let you know.
Yesterday I made 12 bread rolls and 20 SD crumpets. Also a pot of soup from the lamb bones left over from the roast. Added soup mix and lots of veggies. A handful of parsley at the end just lifted the flavours.

I love soup of all sorts. It’s still a bit warm for it here. We are still having days of 28/29° every day.
