Cookie how lovely to have such warm weather.  At 8 am it was 1 degree here.
It was lovely late afternoon in the garden here, yesterday.
We also are very appreciative of the care all the medical people are doing.  I can only imagine the stress they are experiencing.
The ducklings are down to 5 now and the male is still attacking the mother and ducklings. The mother takes her brood across the road to the neighbours dam during the day, and the male is too stupid to follow.

I hope you send some of your warmer weather over here cookie, it’s been cold for so much longer than usual this year.   Pity the mother duck doesn’t stay over at the neighbour’s pond Chookie.

13 deg here today.

We have had the carpet layers here this morning.  They have carpeted half the house and will finish the rest on Wednesday.  I asked for a day in between as there is so many boxes  to be moved back and forth.   I am really impressed with the job they have done and the care they took moving the furniture.

That’s a big job Margaret, I only had 3 bedrooms done a year or so ago and it took me hours to put everything back where it was.  I put drawers in the wrong place in the tallboys and it took me ages to get used to their new positions - couldn’t be bothered changing them back to where they should have been but in hindsight it might have been a good idea.

OMG I just watched the reunions at a nursing home in Sydney on A Current Affair, how emotional was that!  Bet I wasn’t the only one to shed a few tears, how could you not.

Going to pickup new Chooks today. Old girls not laying well.  We will take a picnic lunch.
Mag, how wonderful. Wise decision to have a day between.
Very cold this morning. 1 degree. We are getting lovely sunny late afternoons.

Just I can just imagine that. It would be very emotive especially when you have had loved ones in care. We have been so lucky here. We have had a few periods of 2/3 weeks of no visiting as respiratory infections and Noro virus have been raging. Fortunately MIL doesn’t realise when it is only that time period.

Nice to see an ‘old ‘ member posting.
Yesterday we went for a drive into the country to pickup our new Chooks. It has been may months since we have done this. It was wonderful, like a holiday.  Last night we placed the new girls in with the old.  We did this as they are 15 weeks and almost full grown. Will be a bit of pecking order established over the next few days.  I will let the old girls out so the new ones can have a good look at their new home.
