We’ve had a most unusual day. It’s rained all day, been very dark and cold. Not the sort of day we have seen for a long time. Usually the rain comes in waves.

I love days like that but we seem to get most of our rain during the night here.  13 and 14 degree days sound cold but the sun has been out a lot during the last couple of days and it’s actually better outside than in.

I heard that you are having rain every day this week cookie, is that right?

Kids gave RAL a heated throw for his Birthday. Lovely.
Still very cold and wet.  Hope it holds off Thursday and Friday as we have a lady coming to prune the Roses. We think there are over 50, but we have never counted them.

Yes Judy. We had a tiny break this morning with just showers but it has come in heavy again. The forecast says storms for the next 36 hours then easing off to just rain. As long as I can get some washing dry I don't mind. I pop it under the patio during the day and bring it in by the fire at night.

Cookie, sounds like Victoria.  ;D
Yesterday had appointment with Diabetic Nurse educator.  She is Diabetic and a foodie.  Very handy. Couple of good suggestions. Eat yellow Kiwi fruit for more fibre and pop Quinoa in dry saucepan and add to bread , slices, biscuits Pizzelle in-fact anything.

They are great ideas Chookie. My Diabetic Nurse/Educator has changed. This one is lovely, although not a foodie, sadly. I got a bit sick of the previous one, she never listened and typed whatever she wanted onto my Diabetes Plan. This one was quite pedantic in putting exactly what I said. I hope she lasts a while.

Had 2 gardeners here today. One specialises in roses. Our regular one brought a bucket of Lemons.  I made a double lot of Lemon Butter. Lemon and carrot sweet marmalade tomorrow.

We are supposed to get another down pour today. I have a hair appointment at midday so I hope driving isn't too bad. It was supposed to be last week but we were in lock down.
