I'm still waiting for the August roster to see if I have the day off. I did request it off but won't know until it comes out around 16th/17th July. Fingers crossed.

Just warn them upfront, Mich, you simply won't be at work that day!! ;D ;D ;D . . . Then bribe the powers that be with plates full of goodies like your little mushroom tarts, etc etc. . . Bribe long and hard enough they may give you the entire week off . . . ;D ;D ;D

I have asked for a lot of time off in August. Fri 2nd & Sat 3rd - to attend Tenina's class. The days before and after the Melbourne lunch weekend. I should have just put in for holidays.

Too late I think. I will see tomorrow when I go back. I may be able to get a few days leave to fit in with some of the things.
August has turned out to be a busy month and I'm very much looking forward to it.  :D

Well, I have stayed away from this topic since I could not make a commitment so far in advance. But now that it is edging closer I am hoping I can come. (Caring for my parents means I never know from one day to the next what life holds for me.) I have just moved one of mum's medical appointments for that day and have kept the day free so that I can join all of you. Hope it is not too late!

Thanks for the offer uni but I have to keep my time away  short as possible. I can do it in a day  over Brisbane. Have to be back at the airport by 5 I think.  Easy as with the train.
