Chicken and mashed potato and snow peas.
Last night tasted lemon Posset at a friends place.  Loved it. Must make some.

Tonight was Stromboli. I forgot it was going to be hot, but the oven didn’t heat the living area up too much.

Quite the opposite here Chookie. It’s just after 5pm and still 40°. Thank goodness we don’t have daylight saving.
We’re having Haloumi burgers tonight.

Cookie, that is so hot. Still cool here but a heat wave coming for Xmas and especially Boxing Day. Cookie, does jam, unopened , stored out of fridge, ferment in very hot temperatures?

I honestly don’t know Chookie. Hopefully not.
It was 44 here today, rather too hot. We had a beef fried rice for dinner.

Cookie, how on earth do you manage to cook when it is so hot?
Still cool here. Soup for dinner. Beef broth with cauli, carrot and celery.

Scrambled eggs on toast for the men.  A protein drink for me
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Sometimes it’s a case of having to, others the air con helps.

Last night and tonight are leftovers from Christmas lunch of ham, stuffed chicken, terrine, potato salad, rice salad (from this site), Ukrainian potato salad, roasted garlic /chilli tomatoes plus the usual lettuce, cucumber etc. Followed by fresh fruit salad, trifle and home made Icecream cake.

At the rate we are going it will be dinner tomorrow night too.

Cookie, what a feast!!
Sometimes the leftovers are more enjoyable than the original meal.
Toasted ham sandwich tonight and forgotten smashed cucumber. Trifle.
