Cookie, with your skill and expertise with SD you probably don’t need the Baker Bleu book. I used the recipe for the Rye and Caraway loaf but varied the method. I found the amount of Caraway perfect.
Made 2 bread sticks for Garlic bread. Used the other third to wrap around olives, into small balls. Remember ISI’s recipe?

That’s very flattering of you Chookie. I’ve enjoyed looking through the book. I’m going to try a couple of recipes before it’s due back at the library.

I’ve been looking through Helen Goh’s book. It’s amazing. I’ve marked a few recipes to try for special occasions.
I’ve got an itch to cook bread. Something to use up yogurt. Don’t like the recipes I’ve looked at so might make up my own.

agree.
Invited out for dinner later in week. Said I’d bring sweets. Do I use the leftover Panettone and make a large B and B Pud, or do I make something from Helen Goh’s book?
Today, minestrone soup.

Whatever is easiest Chookie!
I’ve been doing a lot of small meals for df’s freezer. I joined an American site a while back and the chap who started it is now writing recipe books for different stages. If you’re on his site he will send a pdf of the book for free with a request to leave a review on Amazon once you’ve read it. I’ve received Stage 3 and 4 so I’ve been putting recipes to the test. They’re small meals with nutritional figures, so far DF has liked what he’s received. Easy to cook and cheap to make.

A quick trip to the supermarket for a few extra groceries. There were so many people out today even though it was freezing cold and wet and we had trouble finding a car park and that is very unusual.

While I was up in Noosa / Brisbane this past week I volunteered to make dinner one night - well, that was a
BIG MISTAKE
. I am now totally traumatised!!!!!
My DS had very few ingredients (no garlic, no onions, no tomatoes, no veges in general, in fact, almost nothing of anything and everything - you get the picture, I don't think she ever cooks!). To make it worse, her knives were so blunt they were almost unusable (I went through 4 or 5 before I found one that was 'useful') - anyway, I managed to come up with a very basic (I am calling it "rustic" style to make me feel better about it) vegetable sauce to go with pasta and both her and her friend who was also staying there at the moment both enjoyed it - makes me think that they survive on bought meals only.
