That’s awful Chookie. Give the consultant a ring and return it.

Not much cooking today. Better start eating what I’ve got in fridge.

I’ve contacted my consultant, who is contacting Service people. I’m ringing again today as I’m very annoyed.
Yesterday I made 12 jars of Mandarin jelly. I added Whiskey to the last 4 jars. A friend gave me a bag of small home grown mandarins. They were full of pips and rough looking. I cut them in half and boiled them , when soft, I put through a jelly bag.
Today I’m making Blueberry jam. I’ll use Cranberry juice instead of water. I aim to make my jams with intense flavour.

I usually make Judy’s recipe for Pomegranite Molasses.  It’s delicious and lasts for ever. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8593.0

Wow cookie that’s so close to Judy’s recipe ( more lemon juice in Judy’s ) . I might try Judy’s next time . Also made marinade for slow roasted lamb (in oven all afternoon! ) . Za’atar spice mix was next ! Might use that tomorrow with cold lamb meat . Muhammara ( roasted red capsicum & walnut dip . Then a spiced carrot salad . All for DS who has come home this arvo for a few days .

Chookie, I have heaps of jars if you need them.  Let me know

Yesterday and today I cooked Broccoli & Cauliflower bake; lentil and chickpea stew; Creamy leek and mushroom pie (but no pie component - pastry and I had a huge break up decades ago and neither of us has forgiven the other so it turned out to be creamy leek and mushroom no-pie); and sweet potato red lentil stew.

Made a batch of Baked Baklava bites . DS can take some up north contract harvesting . They are very filling and you can break a few up like granola and have with milk .

Yum.
Marina, I’m also not good at pastry, yet my DGM was known for her pastry. She is the one who cooked for the Coles family.  And yes I would like your jars but not sure how I’ll get them. Talk to you today.

Over the weekend I have made choc chip cookies, nutella cookies, shortbread, cinnamon shortbread and spinach and ricotta sausage rolls. I still have lemon cupcakes and mushrooms to make later in the week.  A couple of our GD are calling in at the weekend for afternoon tea so I have been making some of their favourite things.

That’s lovely of you Mab. The closest I got to cooking today was feeding my Christmas cakes.

If you can hold out until our Xmas break, Chookie, I'll bring them over to you.

Thanks Marina, lovely to talk to you today. Looking forward to the Xmas holidays.

Mab, how lovely of you to spoil your GD’s. I still fondly remember the yo yos you made. Ral said they were the best he had ever eaten.

I’m going to make individual Xmas puddings. I have the small containers sitting on the bench. Everyone who sees them wants some. I thought they weren’t popular anymore, that’s why I decided to make individual Xmas puddings .
