Made smoked orange marmalade. Thought it might be nice with Duck.
I’ve sent 6 in for a service so tried making jam in 7 for the first time. Very good as bowl larger for same recipe.  I thought there may be not enough space for the steam to escape during cooking. However the smaller hole in lid seemed to be enough.
Bought the latest TMX magazine. Noticed a Queen of Puddings that I used to make ages ago. There is also a recipe for Portuguese bread rolls. Might give them a try. 700 g + of flour , 1 teaspoon of yeast.?

That seems a bit weird Chookie. Do they have a long rise? I should get out of my rocker and check. 😀😀😀😀
I made a Classic loaf today and two different muesli slices, which turned out to be quite similar.

Yes, but not as long as I would have thought.

The Portuguese rolls , 1 and 1/2 proving time.
I’m trying a mixed fruit loaf in my new small bread machine. Most recipes are for 2 cups of flour. The recipes supplied with the machine are very basic. I’ve a book that has 3 sizes and the smallest should be ok.

Made a fruit loaf in the new small bread machine. The recipes supplied I used I’ve made before. It has orange marmalade added to a basic white base. I also add dried cranberries and walnuts. In the new machine it takes 4 hours. The only difficulty is that it beeps  for when to add extras, but doesn’t start again automatically. You have to press the start button again. This is a nuisance as the reason I like the bread machine is its predictably. I can set it and know it will be baked at a certain time.
I will try another setting to see if I can avoid this beep setting.
The loaf was excellent. I do like the size and shape of the loaves.
