I’m silly but even now that I really don’t drink, I find a glass or two of port settles my panic when it’s very windy. It’s easy, cheap medicine.

I made a fruit loaf yesterday. I soaked the fruit in hot tea for several hours.

Nothing silly about that, Cookie.  If it works, then it works and is better than suffering stress or tension during a storm.

Yesterday I made jam. Blood Orange , Mandarin and Orange and Cognac. 4 jars of each. All in 6. I’ve yet to make jam in the 7. Would probably have to use lid off.

Years ago I worked with a lovely lady who hated people drinking. She became unwell and her doctor suggested that each evening before or after dinner she and her DH sat down and had a sherry. She followed his advice and was shocked and thrilled that it worked.

I had a cook up of frozen biscuit dough. I found quite a bit in the freezer when I cleaned it out. So we have Chocolate, Malt biscuits, Christmas shortbread (yes, it was from Christmas) and other types of shortbread.

I need to start thinking about cooking as the men have eaten most of what was in the freezer.  Unfortunately I have lost most of my interest in cooking.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
