« on: May 05, 2020, 07:42:01 am »
This is the first of a series.  I will post recipes as I test and am happy with the results.

Chookie, this looks totally delicious (to me) but does it taste very sweet?  DH always picks up on any sugar I add to my cooking so I am wary now - I tend to keep to savoury tastes.

Marina, to our taste it didnít taste too sweet.  However it does have both Maple syrup and Sweet Chilli sauce does contain sugar.  The idea behind the Flavour Bombs is to tweet the recipe to your needs.  In this case you could replace the Sweet Chilli sauce with just Chilli sauce. Or you could use onion , ginger and garlic to give it kick.
If DH is likely to still find this too sweet you could make a Bomb with Canned diced Tomato, soy , onion, garlic and olives and capers.  I would freeze this in Plastic Zip lock bags. How ever even with this, for our taste I would add something sweet to balance the acid in the tomatoes.

Thanks, Chookie, I might try to experiment this weekend and see how I go.

Marina,  that a good idea.  If you can get some Bombs that you like it will save you a lot of work.   Also take the stress out of the evening meal.
Iím about to test second flavour Bomb.

This will produce a mild curry flavour sauce.   If a stronger flavour is required, . Do a taste test and add more of the FB to the sauce.
