Just on here briefly and was only going to lurk to take my mind off things. Then I saw all the responses.
Thank you so much for the lovely kind words you have all written here. We're still trying to come to terms with it all.

I've written the memorial eulogy and a couple of poems and cried many tears while doing so. Planning the Celebration of Life has helped. We'll have wildflowers, lots of purple, her favourite colour and will release purple balloons with messages we'll write on them.

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

MJ what a tragedy. In my experience, writing and delivering the eulogy and planning the Celebration of Life (although extremely difficult to do) really does help a little. Sincere condolences to you and your family.
