Just back from Noosa and Brisbane - weather was perfect ... during the day!  Two nights of wild storms in Noosa (quite spectacular) but other than one day when it was a little bit wet both places were lovely and warm so that made it a relaxing and welcome break.

Whilst I was up there DS and I went to Eumundi market - it is a huge market and easy to get lost, but we found two excellent natural pain relief creams - both of which I experimented with while I was up there (using the creams my DS bought) on my arthritic knee and they both seem to work really well so I have ordered a tub of each and will see how I get on over the next couple of weeks - for anyone thinking about following up on these creams, do a bit of research and seek medical advice (for instance it is not recommended to use them if you are on warfaren).  I think both creams are magnesium based.  DH is also very interested in seeing how they go so I hope they are as effective in the long run as they have been so far.

DD and 2 GD took me Christmas shopping today.  17 year old GD decided she wanted a photo taken with Santa and insisted we all had to be in the photo. Then we had lunch at a favourite restaurant.

How lovely having your photo taken together.
I had my hair cut this morning and did the grocery shopping this afternoon.

That’s so sweet Mab a photo to remember. What’s the solar battery for Chookie . Quick trip for DH to skin specialist to have a couple of things cut out . So dinner out with DD tonight and early appointment for DH tomorrow. I’m hopeful that my headache will magically disappear

My brother has a solar battery Chookie. We do plan to get one, but our inverter is too old.  We will wait until we need to update the panels and inverter.

Mmmmm. It took me 3 shots to get the forum to load. I hope it’s not going to be naughty again.

Yes, Cookie, the forum is becoming unreliable - a great shame, I hope it doesn't give up on us completely.

I had a skin check yesterday - my first one inc. 5 years+!  All good, fortunately.

I had solar panels put on the roof last year. They produce lots of power, even on overcast days. The Government has offered a substantial rebate for a battery. The battery stores excess power, to use overnight or if the power goes off. I’m able to see, on the iPad how much I’m producing and how much i use.
Cookie, my DS has just updated his inverter and added more panels . He now doesn’t pay for any electricity and even covers the charge to bring power to the property through the excess that he sells to the grid. Yesterday I had 2 lots of visitors for tea and cake. The second visitor was interested in my recipe for Xmas Puds so we did a taste test. I didn’t need any Dinner.
