It sounds like lots of fun Chookie.
This morning we had our coffee run for old cars and people. Tonight is book club.

Our eldest DS is arriving from Qld on Thursday to spend a few days with us as he several medical appointments to attend so I have been busy getting the spare / sewing room ready for him.
I also decided to tidy out the pantry.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

The concert would have been fantastic.  We haven't been to the MRC for a while - DH is still working when most of the concerts are on so we miss them.

The Baker Blue bread sounds wonderful.  We have his book.

Very much looking forward to catching up tomorrow.

While in Melbourne I pack as much as I can into everyday. I’m also trying to support my friend who is President of the Australian Shopfitters Association. She is resigning after many years in this role.
I’m attempting to get some Lune pastries by being at the shop at 7.30 am when it opens. I’m also having lunch with my Financial advisor.

Yesterday, we attended an Exhibition at the Ian Potter Gallery at Melbourne Uni, on Aboriginal art. We ended up in Lygon St. Had Dinner at a Chinese restaurant.

Chookie I chuckled at your post as I had to re read it. I read that your friend was the President of the Shoplifters Association. 😀

I had my haircut this morning and did the grocery shopping this afternoon.

Yesterday I was 4th in line at 7.15 am , outside Lune. What a slick organisation this is. The service is fast and efficient, the presentation and packaging is top class. And I should mention the pastries. Yes ,they are the best I’ve ever had. And that includes in France.
I’m lining up again this morning, hoping to get some for Marina and her DH.
Tonight I’m going to a cocktail party. My DIL is picking me up. I’m having my hair done at the hairdressers attached to the hotel.
My DF has left to go to her last Annual general meeting of the Shopfitters. She has her own factory in Perth.

Chookie Lune croissants are addictive, trust mdd we I know how delicious they are ( the very rich ones we share sometimes) . Sounds like you are having a lot of joy .
It was my turn today and I visited the GP … all I know is I have a lot more appointments to do and change my diet more as cholesterol has risen . Also have to do a headache migraine diary . DH and I are saying well if this is aging it sucks basically . It was great to catch up with DD being the three of us . DS home soon for a few days , that will be nice .

Had a lovely time catching up with Chookie - she even managed to charm DH away from his workbench for long enough to join us for coffee.  I agree totally with comments re. Lune croissants - they were FANTASTIC and didn't last long!!

Going home. Can’t wait , as Marina and her DH have lent me the Baker Bleu cook book. I met with Marina and her DH yesterday. It was so nice to catchup after a long time.  It’s funny how we just continue from where we left off , sometimes years before. I’m also looking forward to the locally made Hummus that Marina gave me.
I’ve decided, after eating my way around Melbourne, that the general food on offer, is not really that good. Exceptions are for the very expensive carefully prepared food. What we home cooks do is really quite amazing.
KAtie, getting old can test our patience. However , don’t give in and go under. Fight to extract every moment of pleasure out of each day. The people we mix with has a lot to do with this pleasure. ( see above)
