Thanks for the kind words. I think I am the lucky one to have this lady as a dear friend. We moved next door to her as a bride and groom over 42 years ago. She is like a number 2 Mum. We know all her family really well and have gone through the ups and downs of lives together and she knows our family well. I had a "Mum" shoulder to cry on when my parents died and heaps more. She and her husband ( who died a week after my Dad) are/were DD's Godparents.
She is the most amazing darling.

Today I get to have a little cook Fest. We are having guests tonight. I have done the rice salad from on here. Made Tenina's Meringue Dessert and raspberry coulis to go with it. The bread is rising, I am trying something new, so will post if it works. Nico's Quiche later and an old fashioned egg and bacon pie. I'll also do the pear salad from on here. Such fun. Not too much, just enough.

Hubby has it too. We got dial a Dr out for hubby this morning as I needed to cancel his flight (travel insurance). They said the flu. But I have no cold symptoms. Thankfully sister came and picked up the kids and Josh is cooking us chicken and sweet corn soup.

INAID, I know how you feel. :( I have spent the last two days in bed, and had to cancel a family do this afternoon due to my tummy bug. I'm starting to feel better and have just eaten some plain salmon.  I hope you recover quickly
