H you could always present them with a bill when they leave or just pop it into one of their suitcases with a note  saying this is how much you cost us for YOUR holiday.   They would certainly get the message then.

They admitted that they found food twice the price here than in the UK.

My family always freak out over food prices when they visit. I guess we are used to them.  I do notice how cheap food is when I go back to the US.

Sometimes food may be cheaper in the US but then you have to add local. state and Federal taxes in some cases.

The tax added at the register can be a trap. I think it is because they subsidize much of their agriculture. I mean turkey for 50 cents to $1/pound is ridiculous.

But at least you can get a real turkey and not an overgrown chicken. LOL!

How did they expect to survive here on their holiday if their food budget was blown so quickly? Did they buy any Easter choc?

Not long now Hally.  ;D ;D ;D

It would be silly for your cousins to return to Perth, they have already been here. As you say it is a big country and they should go elsewhere. Eg Ayers Rock. Then they will find out what expensive is.  ;D

Had another lovely day here in Margaret River.
Another long walk with the dogs and a beautiful lunch at Flutes on the verandah overlooking the lake.
Meeting friends in 20minutes at the wine bar. Poor dogs as they were so pleased to see us when we came home 15 minutes ago.
Looking forward to seeing all my kids and GK's tomorrow at this time😄
Hope everyone has had a good day  :D
