dont give her notice though, just tell her to go tomorrow and mean it, if she stays til she finds somewhere else - then she will really play the hard done by one.

Mama Fergie. Just do it. Let the chips fall where they may.  Don't worry about how you look from the family's point of view. You may be surprised to learn that they think you are a saint for putting up with her for so long. Your House. Your husband and your rules.  Give her a week to get the hell out. You would not put up with it in a stranger so why on earth put up with it from someone you know.  Start packing her gear and stacking it by the door.  I am sure you DH will help.  Get your life back.  Every day counts at your age. LOL! If you get any grief from anyone tell them to take her in.

No need to get hysterical just quietly assertive and mean it. Ok if she gives lip they screaming and shouting is in order and you can really go off.  And you can throw in that you used her toothbrush to clean the toilet.

Yeah that is best. Out in the morning.  If ya give her a week she will take forever.

By lunchtime tomorrow you will have cleaned up and be having a glass of. Bliss.

Be brave.

We have all come up against manipulators, and they know no other way, they have no conscience and play the victim to the hilt,  and Gert is right we do not have to put up with it.
