Judy, I have over 400 cook books. There must be well over 1000 others. Ral and I both studied literature at Uni. Ral reads good literature, I read thrillers and murder mysteries. I also like historical thrillers. We tend to not watch much tv. Re reading ' a Small Town in Italy' by Eric Newby.

You read my type of book Chookie. Most of the books I read for book club are 'good' literature. I enjoy some but not others. I did an optional lot of literature units at Uni, it didn't really change my view of the books I enjoy. My motto is to read what you enjoy.

I guess a few hundred will make it back into Invermay Chookie.  I don't seem to have time to read but I'm hoping to be able to do that when I end up in a nursing home!

We took our old car to a display day today. There was about 6 of our club members that did it. It was quite warm (32) and no shade at all. Fun chatting but a bit warm. There is another display day at the end of the month but we won't be doing that one.
Some magnificent cars there, not only vintage ones.

You must be pleased that you have all your stuff around you now Chookie. Very wise doing one room at a time.

I had lunch out with a friend today.  We ordered Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup and it was terrible.  It was barely warm, looked like "slop" and tasted awful.  We returned it to the cook told him it wasn't nice and left.  That's the first time I have ever done that.

You have to let them know Margaret, in most establishments table staff don't even show the chef plates returned full of food - they just bin in. How is the chef to know if he isn't told.

We'll done Margaret. It's probably a pity more people don't do it.

I slept all day today. I seemed to have found a cold, so felt that was the best thing to do. I am feeling better tonight.
