We walk Chance twice a day whatever the weather Katj LOL I hate walking in icy conditions as I can trip on a sixpence :-))
It was a bit scary out there this morning. :o I watched a mature tree being blown down in the high winds.Called Chance and got out of there very quickly. The trouble is that we live in an area where it's wall to wall trees so we have to at times walk past them.

A sip or two or three of Port helps with the wind CC.

Morning all.
Hot, nasty and Fire Ban day. We have our bags packed and at the back door.
CC, keep away from those big trees. The big gums tend to drop branches. The old dead ones are called widow makers.
Keep cool and drink plenty those who are in Hot places today..

Good morning all. hope the fires stay away. :)

Good morning everyone, enjoy your New Year's Eve party if you're venturing out.  I've offered to 'babysit' little grand-dog Elliot as it's his first NYE being left alone and we don't know how he is going to react to the fireworks down at Glenelg.  Their previous Cav went ballistic but hopefully he'll take it in his stride.  Bonus is that I can sit out on their balcony and watch the 9 pm and midnight firework displays.

Good morning everyone.  A hot and windy day here so I won't be venturing out at all.

Good morning everyone!
Chookie, I sincerely hope your area is safe from fires through this next hot spell.
So much extreme weather throughout the world. Let's hope 2016 brings peace and calm to all.

We can only hope Katj.

Robyn, they do back burn here but they can't do everywhere every year and so often it is lightning that starts the fires. Then the strong dry winds help it along. Often the winds cause the fire to go up into the high part of the trees and they really go then. Terrifying.

7.00 pm and 38 degrees ... ugh!

I have just realised that it is NYE ... if it wasn't for you good ladies and your messages on here I probably wouldn't have known the difference as I am totally mixed up with my days just now.

I hope you all have a lovely night and that 2016 will be everything you hope it will be.
