Good morning all, another nice cool day here so I must get out in the garden and do something with all the goodies I bought at the nursery yesterday.

CC, you will really feel like a Grandma by the end of your babysitting duties but these moments are precious.  What does Chance think of having a toddler in the house?

Re house Insurance previously posted , after phoning just about every insurer in Australia  we found AAMI I to be the cheapest and we negotiated the premium down to under $2000 by reducing the contents  insurance. We were told by many that anything over $100.000 for contents was excessive unless you had a lot of really expensive artworks. We do not own any  Monets or Picassos.  Happy now.

A couple of insurance companies would not insure homes in our  postcode.  Our house is built to cyclone standards. Is  probably 10 klms from the sea and on a hill.

But Gert!  What about the Renoirs and the Caravaggios ???  They'd be worth something!  ;)

Insurance companies were invented by the devil I think . . . .They're quite happy to insure you for whatever as long as they think you'll keep paying and never claim . . . .Thanks for the heads up, Gert.  My renewal comes in January and I'll be checking it over to see if they've been naughty or nice!! ;)
