Morning all. Good news that the fires have been downgraded.
I don't know how you girls sleep with the ac on and not get chills. We always turn ours off and just sleep with a little less on ;)

We have ceiling fans and sleep with those on an appropriate speed and turn the air con off at night. Next door blew theirs up in the last heat wave. It went for about 6-7 days non stop. Very noisy at night as they have the fan speed very high. If we ever need to replace our evaporative air con we are going to get split level systems for the living area and bedrooms.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

That's a good idea Cookie as you are only cooling the areas that you are using at the time.  :) DH designed 5 different split systems for this house and it works well and keeps the power bill cost down. Rarely use it for heating as have a gas log fire in living area and a gas pebble fire in upstairs sitting room.
