I'm a long way from the fires here in Tassie, but I can smell it. I hate fires, they scare me and the damage they can do in such a short time

Yes very sad thinking about those who are battling to save  homes and lives and all the poor pets and wildlife.

So far bil house is safe the family still cant go back yet, staying with family, my DD has been looking after the kids for them,
Niece has been allowed back into her home. So many homes lost.

So devastating. Australia seems to have major bushfires somewhere every year.

Shocking news and yes Cookie this problem occurs somewhere here in Australia every year.
Hopefully no lives will be lost but no doubt many families will lose their homes and belongings.
