Back home from a lovely lunch out with others - all full as a boot (with food).  The best barramundi I've every had.

Take care of yourself Uni, I am sending very gentle hugs over to you. :-*

Sometimes paracetamol with codeine have no effect on certain types of pain especially if the pain had reached a high level before you took them . It would not be that  they were generic. On an empty stomach is a no no.

It will pass but the best thing for you injuries is rest and hot showers of if you can a bath .

Gert

Very good advice. Good to see you haven't lost your touch Sister Gert.

Take heed Uni.

I'm glad you had a lovely lunch today Judy, it's nice you don't have to cook once in awhile.

I hope you're feeling better Uni, take care xx

You can tell Gert is a fantastic RN.
She can tell the pharmacist more about the medication he's dispensing than he can.

I've got to say, one of my more interesting experiences was when I was given a hit of morphine when I was in a lot of pain whilst I was attending at the hyperbaric unit a couple of years ago - got on the tram to come home from the hospital after an hour or so in the h. chamber and had a wonderful trip home (fortuantely some of the other people who were also undergoing treatment alongside me managed to keep me on the 'straight and narrow')!

That was a very interesting experience . Those hyperbaric chambers  can be pretty scary for some. The newer ones are not so bad but combined with morphine you were having fun. Wheeeee!

Last year to get me out of the hospital  I was given some morphine.  I was able to walk about a foot off the ground gliding out the door.

I was sent back the next day when it wore off. They would not give me any more and I was not happy.  At least I had a good nights sleep

Love that morphine.

I'm green with envy Judy - barramundi is my absolute favourite fish!!

Michele and Gert, I love you guys. I love all nurses :D Even my auntie, who I secretly call Cruella de Ville :-))

Uni, I don't think I need to say it because I think the words are starting to wear out... but rest up anyway :-*

Wow, a catch up needed on this forum.

1. Not my first sale, but first for this month! Thanks for the congrats.,
2. Nurse Gert, you're on my side
3. Love those drugs. I remember having to read out a eulogy that I wrote at my sons mate's funeral a couple of years ago. I took Valium and I was walking on air.
4. Take care Uni!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
