Yeah Frozzie, don't plan much, cook as much as I can and give away all that I can.  :D

Well mcmich reading your post has produced such mixed emotions in me, and it is kind of you to share such a personal memory. Thank you.
We do get on very well and are used to working together. This has made us closer, except we have also had more time apart, like this week.

However this is not a calm time, it is frightening, and rather exhausting with me always  looking for positives when DH is on a downer. I have down days too, but then my friends on here distract me and Cheer me up. Somehow I usually find some other angle for him to look at it again. The job rejections are hard to take as he is seriously good at what he does.

I am in the groove cooking now and that is fine. I am probably more organised too and we almost eat better as every meal has to be planned and every scrap used. It shows how when we are busy and just grab, it is not cost effective. Definitely a case of keep calm and cook on! And I don't even have my books, just the iPad.

If our fledging plan comes off then we will continue working together and I am glad of that. I'd have missed him hugely if he'd got a mon to fri 9 to 5 job as we've never done that in our time together. We are holding  our breath all week as we wait for specialist advice. If it happens it will take months but there may be an end to this limbo.

Good one Robyn.
If we are here for months and months perhaps I will go through my 4 boxes of cookbooks and thin them out! LOL

Mcmich, a lovely post.  Thank you  :)
DJ  We were in a similar position to you and your husband some years back and then just out of the blue things turned around in a big way.  We had to work hard but it happened.    I am so hoping that happens for you.
I have a stack of old recipe books that I will have to send into the op shop I think.  We used to have a table at the local library where you could put your books that you did not want and then others could just take them or make a donation to the library.  They took the table away so can't do that any more.

When we had a Curves in Cairns we had a bookcase to bring books to. On the bookcase was a donation jar off the Queensland Cancer Fund. Good idea for others .

Thanks Marie.

DJ, it must be awful to be apart that long. I know that second time round we don't take as much for granted.
Come here whenever it's too much. Hope all your plans come together  :)
