It sounds as if you’re in control now Chookie and you can always hire a mower person when it all gets too much for you. I’m sure there are lots of improvement in the grounds since you bought the house. Well done guys.

Thanks Judy. GS wants to do the mowing. Anything with a motor he likes to use. RAL will do it while he can.

Good afternoon everyone. A mild day here, just my sort of temperature.
Grocery shopping this morning before the heat comes tomorrow.

I imagine GS can already see himself scooting around on the lawn mower Chookie, something to look forward to with his GF keeping a very close eye on him no doubt.
A beautiful day here, pretty warm but a nice breeze. Not looking forward to tomorrow though if it does reach 42, thankfully a 1 off hot day though. I’m going to the movies so won’t notice it in there until I have to get into the car.

Oh Chookie there is nothing much worse than a sad oven. I love the idea of the fruit mince crumpets.

OMG, the Xmas mince Crumpets are amazing. I will post the recipe. I have just made 8 cups of SD starter into crumpets. 37 crumpets. I left the starter in the fridge for 2 weeks. When I took it out this morning, it was so active that I had to split it in 1/2 and feed it all day. I ended up with a bucket of starter. Can’t make SD bread as oven not working, but will make one in Bread machine and will dry a lot. Tomorrow will be 35 here so this is good.

The winds yesterday were very strong . No damage here and although hot, 34 degrees, not too bad. Today back to 20.
