Morning all. Lot of smoke today but fires not close.  Someone asked how close the fires were.  Closest one 2 Ks.  Fire was traveling 15 Ks in 12 minutes.  This was because of the wind.  Hope all our Forum members are safe.  I am sure tree are some in the areas so badly affected.

Good morning all.

Glad to hear that everyone is safe.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Good morning forum members.

No, 2 kms is not far Chookie, especially when it was travelling at that speed.  It must have been an anxious wait for you, phew too close for comfort.

Over 40 here today, it wasn't supposed to hit 40 until tomorrow.

Very frightening for you both Chookie.

Judy I feel for you and other Adelaiders. We have had several 30-32 days and I am loving them.

We've now had 12 days over 40 this summer, No. 13 is tomorrow - we have already set a new record though, first time in our history for so many over 40 days.

Surprisingly well for someone who hates hot weather Uni.  I still go out every day to visit Geoff and check on Mum.  I just want some rain to give the garden a good drink.

We love our solar panel too. We haven't had an electricity bill for 2 years and have been paid just over $2000 for the electricity we have put back into the grid.
I agree with Jeninwa that we are not likely to get another supplier.

Just awesome.. I think you have opted for right option to produce electricity and now I will try it out:)

Wow that's hot Judy. Hoping the extreme heat can stop for good, soon.
Smokey here today too and we are nowhere near any fires. We have a small mountain usually visible from the highway calked the You Yangs. We couldn't see it today, it's covered in smoke. Makes me wonder about just how scary a brushfire can be.
Be careful chookie. 2km is not far at all.
