At least it will be warm in October. Not cheap to fly here but  we could organise a foodie tour. The shopping is utter crap and the food is pathetic but it is HOT.

We West Aussies may have to stay a week as I don't think there are too many direct flights. Unless we had a stop over in Sydney or Melbourne, or even Ayers Rock.

We could break the long trip up cookie with a few days in Sydney or the gold coast 😄😄😄
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Hi CC, a simple meal is always nice after a few days away.  Glad to hear you've arrived safely, any visible property damage from the recent storm in your area?

Morning all. In Melb overnight.  Visited Marina yesterday and will catch up with Judy today.  Good report from Dr for Ral.  Still adjusting medication.
CC, glad everything is fine at home.  Always a worry when you are away.

We have a few roof tiles that have slipped down into the gutters but can be easily fixed by DH.
There is a lot of boughs off the trees and of course the autumn leaves are everywhere on the ground.

Have a great visit together in Melbourne today Judy and Chookie ;D

Morning everyone  :)
Glad to hear that you had no major storm damage  CC
We are still having Internet problems and nobody knows why. It's 4 weeks now since we arrived home to no Internet. Had IT guys out, Telstra and electricians and no joy.
Telstra finally came out again to check and they think that perhaps a rat or mouse has nibbled on a cable somewhere between the outside and our power box which is in the garage. Yuk!!!  Our electrician will come out to see if he can find the 'possibly' damaged cable. In the meantime I am using personal hotspot when need to. Haven't been on the forum much as have already exceeded my data limit.  >:(

We once had a mouse chew into the electrics of our hot water system - the electrician said that there is a lead component in the wiring and the mice become addicted to it!  hope you get everything sorted soon.

Thanks for that info Cuilidh. It's a strong possibility as while we were in Europe our cat was boarding which could explain why it happended while we were away.  :)

We had a rat chew through a lot of our cables MF, the only problem was it was our daughters pet rat!! It took us quite a while to figure our what had happended and once we did the rat was no longer allowed out at night. Good luck with finding the problem.

It's taken so many visits here Wonder to reach this possible conclusion. I hope it will be fixed soon as Its driving me insane. We are so dependent on technology and lost without it. There is construction work going on at the marina here and a lot of earthworks so there could be a lot of rodents looking for new homes  :o
