Soups / Re: Potato & Corn Soup

I made this today using half sweet potato and half white.  I also used 4 tsp Alyce Alexandraís Ďchickení stock powder and water instead of liquid chicken stock

Iím quite happy with this stock powder after using it to make my Potato & Sweetcorn soup today instead of liquid chicken stock. I did have to add some salt at the end though.

I canít believe it cookie, I was looking at that recipe this morning.  I received my order from 2brothers in WA this morning and one of my purchases was a kg of Country Grain Breadmix so I went looking for a recipe on the forum.  I saw your link to Amandaís recipe and when it didnít work I just googled and it came up.  I also saw your link to one of Isiís recipes which you had given someone in the early days so I checked out her Very Normal Bread recipe and some of Chookies too but I still donít know which one to do.  I even rang 2brothers to see if they provided a recipe with the bread mix which they donít.  If anyone can tell me which is the best recipe to use my mix in I would really appreciate it.  I want to do a loaf, not rolls and itís been so long since I made bread itís almost like starting over again.

You certainly have something to boast about there Marina, itís absolutely beautiful and amazing in what has been done. You must be over the moon with the final result, closing the shop and walking up those stairs to your apartment must be the best way to end a busy day.  Do you have parking at the rear or do you have to park in the street?  I will make sure, if ever I return to Melbourne, that I pop in and have a look.  Well done to you both and thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Well done cookie, you were the first to make and review this recipe.   They look delicious.

I agree Julie, a flavour boost like Teninaís umami paste.  It does make a lot so had quantity makes sense.  Iíll give some of mine away.  2 minutes seemed a long time to grind all the herbs etc down to a powder.

Neighbour gave me the recipe and said she didnít know why the were called Surprise. I now think I know.   The first lot I left plain.  The second lot I added coconut and made Monte Carlos.  This last lot I added walnuts, dried sour cherries and choc chips.

So the surprise is more for the biscuit itself, not the cook Chookie.  It sounds like a very good biscuit recipe.
