Chit Chat / What have you been doing today?
« on: May 21, 2019, 08:29:01 am »
WE went on another mid week car run. This time it was to a small sports car club. We had to meet at 9am and it took us an hour to get there as DH doesn't like going on the freeways and main highways with the Model A as the trucks are intimidating.
When we met I was the only female there. I was cross as I could have stayed home easily. However when we got there another member had come down from Northam with her husband. It was great fun and they were all extremely friendly and did a lovely morning tea for us. We then got to drive our Model A's sedately around their race track.

KFC chicken here. I thought I might do it with chips and a salad.

I was planning to do some cooking this afternoon as a friend was coming over in the morning. She has now rung and asked me to over to her place as her sister is with her, hence no cooking needed.

Gosh, you would need to be rescued quickly or you would freeze Chookie. A friend was doing her Ski8ppers certificate for their boat. She did it with a group of men and someone had to go into the ocean and be rescued., She was the only one under 60 so she had to go in.

Still cool here but not freezing.

This is Chookie’s recipe that I made the other day. I put it into my cast iron casserole but I should have put it into a larger container. DH loves it, so next time I will do that.

Judy I was listening to your footy match and heard them say it was pelting down. I'm glad you are under cover.
K Atie I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

We had 11mm of rain overnight, but the day has been fairly sunny. Which means it will be cold. We got down to 1 degree on Saturday morning.

I made some steamed choc chip muffins. I don't think they are too successful.

DD and I went into the city this morning and attended a barista course run by Nespresso. It was free, only an hour and we were given a goody bag when we left. It had an apron, a box of chocolates and a glass Nespresso mug. That bit was quite a surprise.

I hate changing hairdresser Margaret. I have been going to the same shop for many years but my hairdressers seem to get pregnant and leave. I now have the owner and she does a great job and her children are teenagers.

I seem to need to regenerate one afternoon a week Chookie.
I have a SD batard rising and also Chookie's  Rustic Bread. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4234.msg53095#msg53095
I will make a fruit loaf a little later as I have the batard in the tin I use for that.
