That's not good CC, hope you don't lose too much food.  Does an upright hold more than a chest freezer, or is it just easier to see what you have got with the upright?

That's the trouble with broad beans CC, you think you have got heaps but by the time you have shelled and peeled them there is not much left to eat ... but what is left is delicious and worth all the trouble  :)

Good to see that Ral's platelets are climbing higher.  Will he stay on this drug for an indefinite period now, or is it a short term treatment ... if it is making that much difference, I would be voting for indefinite.

Ouch, that sounds painful, Robyn.  Take it easy and allow yourself time to recover before you start doing anything strenuous.

Good news about you reno coming to a close Judy, you will be so happy when it is all done.  We still have a couple of months to go, but should be in well before Xmas.

Wet here at the moment and the forecast is looking like a fairly wet and windy day or two over here.

I also read and thoroughly enjoyed The Bride Test by Helen Hoang, following your DD's review.

Margaret, we live pretty close to the CBD so, thankfully, I rarely have to take our car in to the city - except for early Saturday morning market and when we are getting away at the weekend.  We've got two tram lines virtually on our doorstep and they do the trick the rest of the time.

From what I heard on the weather, Cookie, you are in for a drenching today, so I don't know that I would hold out much hope for getting any drying done outside!!

Good to see you out and driving, Chookie.  Apart from times when the kangaroos are more active, it is much more pleasurable than tackling the freeways and the city!

Just finished reading The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary - a thoroughly delightful book.

Lemon Bliss Balls, Spanish Bean stew, pumpkin soup (tastes great with just a touch of curry powder), Tomato-ey smoked chickpeas, frittata, tomorrow I will attempt kale colcannon and perhaps some kale chips if there is any kale left over. I read somewhere recently that if you put the kale in the freezer it tastes better ... I guess I will find out tomorrow!
