After watching Four Corners last night with its food substitutions and things that are found in food, we ended up having an open Gozleme.
Yes, that was a real wake up call.  I didn't see all of it, but what I saw was very disturbing.

The reason I am deferring my knee operation to the end of the year is that I want to recuperate in the summer, not winter!  I am petty good at handling pain so as long as I can last until then the wait should be (more or less) bearable - hence the cortisone injection to help to see me through until then.

Marina, you poor thing.
Katie I had a silly woman switch lanes and almost hit me. Fortunately I managed to dodge her. It was very frightening. Kangaroos are often out and about and make nasty dents.

It was great Marina , nothing like a change of pace . Wagga Wagga is a beautiful town . That’s a long time to wait for your knee replacement.

Sounds like an eventful trip, K Atie.  You would be glad to be back home.

Visited my surgeon again,  Arranged for a cortisone injection in my knee to see me through (hopefully relatively pain free) until my knee replacement in the summer.

A quick trip to DS uni . Was great to go for a long drive . Cannot believe how green it is . A day at the uni footy . Was great to catch up with DS friends . We were privileged to join them at the pub for presentations and dinner . Such a great bunch of young . Lots of chats with them . So many were at DS 21st . Out for Breakfasts too . Long drive back ! Tad eventful , not only did DH nearly collide at a roundabout on one of the days . We were very lucky , but hit a kangaroo on the way home , it’s not too bad but it tail hit the rear passenger door ( tail vertebrae marks and cracked paint . Then two kangaroos decided to fly across the road we stopped in the middle ( car behind nearly hit them too) . We were pleased to be back . We drove to The Rock which has some pretty country around the area ( that’s were the football game was . ) cattle country green lush and beautiful gum trees . It was cold too , we had hoped it would have been warmer.
