Julie O , like you I do not come here often but lovely to hear from you. I do get the notices but have not much to contribute as my life has changes. Still I love hearing from everyone.

CHRISTMAS / Re: Mini Panettone with photo

Help please.  I love Panettone.  Last year bought very expensive Italian ones for gifts for special people.  Then someone gave me one.  It was much nicer than the ones that I bought.  On checking, it came from Aldi. What I likes was the slight , wine taste.  I think it was Masala.
Question, could I soak the fruit in Masala before adding. ?

Don't see why not Chookie. I was delighted to see this post as I had completely forgotten I had made that panettone for Ted and it was when he started to become ill from his cancer.  Seems a long time ago.  34 here today!!!

RAL bought me some Pasparley pearl and diamond earrings.  Think they will have to be for Xmas and Birthdays for the next few years.  Took me 10 minutes to decide which ones I liked.  I bought him some shoes.  Took him all day to decide. We walked all around the city.  Didnít know there were so many shoe shops.  Cookie, you would have loved it.

You are loved and well loved. No one is more deserving Chookie. Same goes for the shoes for Ral.LOL!

I thought everyone was off the air!

Yup I use it weekly but not daily. I am just not as enthused with the TM5 as it is sooo slow. Also not cooking for anyone but me these days..

We are having a most beautiful clear sky 28 degrees here today. Just catching up with the forum as I have been absent for a bit. Met up with Mama Fergie and Uni in Bali. Had a lovely catchup.

Bit late here today.
Spent yesterday night in Emergency.  This weeks event ... Ral has torn some ligaments in his right elbow.  I canít complain as he did it lifting bags of Chook food. However the really good news is that the new medicine seems to be working.  His platelets are up to 162 which is within the normal range.  We wonít really know for 2 more weeks just how much improvement the new drug is making.

It don't rain but it pours eh Chookie. Me thinks we need to lock Ral up and keep him safe from those pesky chooks. Glad the platelets are up so Ral must be feeling a bit stronger but now the elbow! Hope he can manage to coffee machine at least. Hugs.

Warm and dry today. Creswick Farmers Market today.
Have lost 2 Chooks in the last week. Will buy 3 new ones. Only have 4 left but they lay 3 eggs a day.

Clearly Chookie one of your girls is not doing her job. She might be for the pot!!
